ABOUT JUNE
June Purifoy is a people-oriented and enthusiastic woman committed to Human Services.
Presently she works as an Emergency Assistance Intake Worker for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s Service Center, a ministry within the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order. She has been blessed to have the opportunity to provide resources and emotional support to others working with other non-profit organizations as well.
June has worked with pregnant teen moms, as well as women in substance abuse, domestic violence, and homeless shelters. These experiences led to obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Family Life Education from Great Lakes Christian College, Certificate in School of Management from the Institute of Black Family Development and a Certificate in Case Management from Wayne County Community College.
June has served as president of the Women’s Ministry of the Greenfield Church of God for 11 years and established women to believe in themselves and to build up their self-esteem and self-worth, with workshops, seminars, and the affirmation of “I Promise Myself.”
God has blessed June in the last couple of years to be united with her biological father and four brothers. After her search to find her biological families, June has found herself. Because of God, she knows the purpose for her life.
